Dan Purser MD interviews a patient with a brutal sarcoidosis case involving sky-high SIL2R cytokines, GI sarcoid, heart damage, and years of being dismissed by doctors. After spleen removal, repeated ER visits, and nitroglycerin dependence, he finally found answers.
Learn how cytokine testing and the VARS Trio (Glutathione + SOD + Catalase) led to rapid improvement — going from bedridden fear to playing with grandkids in just weeks.
This episode highlights the power of root-cause medicine for complex inflammatory conditions and offers hope for those who feel lost in the system.
Perfect for listeners dealing with sarcoidosis, chronic inflammation, autoimmune issues, or cytokine-related symptoms.

We share real-life stories of flares, recovery, and ongoing improvement using Dr. Purser’s protocol. From severe teenage fibromyalgia to thriving as grandmothers, we discuss how the VARS Trio (Glutathione, SOD, and the game-changing Catalase) helps manage inflammation, cytokines, and hydrogen peroxide — plus practical tips on low-copper diet, serving sizes, gym recovery, weight loss, and consistency over perfection.
Topics covered:
• How to handle fibro flares quickly (catalase + SOD stories)
• The importance of intracellular testing (CMA) & genetics
• Low-copper eating guidelines & why serving size matters
• Building strength and muscle after years of pain
• Why we keep improving year after year
🔥 June Special: $100 off Genetic Testing + CMA (deepest discount of the year). One lucky order will be fully reimbursed!

Dr. Dan Purser here with an important update from Purser Wellness.
Earlier this week we were deplatformed on a major platform right after discussing groundbreaking findings from our homocysteine research — particularly its connections to ASD, ADHD, cytokine issues, and inflammatory conditions like polymyalgia rheumatica (PMR).
Despite losing access to our old page (and nearly 200,000 followers), we’re back stronger with a brand new official page!
✅ Follow our new official Facebook page here:

High homocysteine signals a broken transsulfuration pathway, leaving you unable to detox or convert it into glutathione. This shows up in conditions like PCOS and fibromyalgia, where patients often struggle with inflammation, pain, and even infertility. Genetics play a big role—there are 17 SNPs that can lock homocysteine in place—but vitamin deficiencies can make it worse. The real breakthrough isn’t lowering homocysteine itself but calming the cytokines it triggers, like IL-8 and MCP-1. That’s why VARS Glutathione, the only patented oral form proven to work, is so powerful—it lowers those cy
MTHFR is one of the most studied genetic SNPs, with the two main variants being C677T and A1298C. These changes reduce the body’s ability to process folate and make energy, leaving people exhausted and deficient in key nutrients. Specialized folates, B12 forms, and glutathione can bypass the blockages, and products like MTHFR Daily were designed specifically to fill these nutrient gaps so patients can restore energy and thrive.
What I see again and again is an inability to detox caused by failures in the Transsulfuration Pathway. This is your pathway that converts homocysteine to glutathione. If you have MTHFR or 16 other Gene SNPs, you will have problems with this pathway.
High homocysteine? It’s not the number—it’s the cytokines it triggers (like IL-8) that cause strokes, kidney failure & inflammation. We found 17 gene SNPs + 12 vitamin deficiencies that drive it—and VARS Glutathione helps shut it down.
Homocysteine is nasty — but here’s the truth no one tells you. It doesn’t kill you directly — it triggers white blood cells to release IL-8 and MCP-1, causing inflammation, kidney failure, heart attacks, and strokes. Most doctors don’t even check it anymore, thinking there’s no fix. But there is. Whether from 17 genetic SNPs or 12 vitamin deficiencies (like B6 or B12), you can address it by supporting your body’s ability to convert homocysteine into glutathione.
Crohn’s Disease & Ulcerative Colitis: The Missing Link? Did you know there’s a genetic condition, PEMT, that may be a major factor in Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis? If you have it, your body struggles to produce phosphatidylcholine, a critical compound for gut and liver health. Research shows supplementing with phosphatidylcholine and glutathione can make a huge difference in managing these conditions.
