Can the B vitamins you are taking to support energy and methylation eventually make you feel worse? In this video, Jackson Larkin explains what practitioners often call “overmethylation,” a possible adverse response to supplemental methyl donors such as: • 5-MTHF or methylfolate • Methylcobalamin • Trimethylglycine, also called TMG • Multiple overlapping methylation formulas Possible warning signs can include irritability, anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, and feeling “wired but tired.” These symptoms do not prove that you are overmethylated. They can have many possible causes. The timing of symptoms, your total supplement exposure, nutrient status, genetics, medications, and health history all need to be considered. In this video, we discuss: • Why methylation is essential • How methyl-donor supplements support the body • Why the right vitamin can become the wrong dose • Ingredients to look for on your supplement labels • Why some people may need lower doses or non-methylated forms • How genetics and intracellular nutrient testing can guide a more personalized plan At Purser Wellness, we believe in a Start Low, Go Slow approach. The goal is not to eliminate methylation. The goal is to provide the right form and amount of support for each individual. In this consultation review, Jackson sat down with longtime Purser Wellness patient Lois Schweigert to go over her latest intracellular micronutrient (CMA) test results. After years of dealing with fibromyalgia, pain, gut issues, and inconsistent energy, Lois has made remarkable progress. Her newest CMA shows ZERO deficiencies — her best results ever — and it perfectly matches how great she’s been feeling. We discuss: • Her consistent weight training and dramatically improved recovery (thanks to catalase!) • Key optimization tweaks: amino acids, omega-3s, chromium, inositol, and glutathione • Blood sugar stability • Sleep support and overnight recovery • How trauma & stress affect your nutrient levels • Why intracellular testing is so unique and powerful If you’re dealing with chronic symptoms, poor workout recovery, or just want to optimize your health, this conversation is packed with practical insights from real patient results. 👉 Ready to get your own CMA? MTHFR is one of the most studied genetic SNPs, with the two main variants being C677T and A1298C. These changes reduce the body’s ability to process folate and make energy, leaving people exhausted and deficient in key nutrients. Specialized folates, B12 forms, and glutathione can bypass the blockages, and products like MTHFR Daily were designed specifically to fill these nutrient gaps so patients can restore energy and thrive.
Not all genetic tests are created equal. Many only scratch the surface, while the best panels look at hundreds of SNPs that impact methylation, detox, hormones, and nutrient absorption. For real results, you need a test that’s private, comprehensive, and clinically useful—like the ones we recommend in practice that help guide targeted treatment plans.
Read matching passageTired, foggy, low hormones, and nothing helps? It’s probably not magic—it’s nutrient deficiency. Dr. Purser uses CMA with Redox testing to go deeper than your average doctor ever will. He sees severe lipoic acid, biotin, PQQ, and lithium deficiencies causing symptoms that mimic dementia, thyroid issues, or low testosterone. It’s not “manopause”—it’s vitaminopause. Find the root cause, don’t just chase prescriptions.
Top genes to keep an eye out for - homocysteine related genes, PEMT, and VDR. GET THESE ALL IN CHECK! If they are out of whack you’re gonna have a lot of problems, but we can address them. Get genetic testing and and Intracellular nutrient test and we go from there. Reach to my practice to get going. You got this.
Insulin Resistance Isn’t About Too Little Insulin Most people with type 2 diabetes produce plenty of insulin—the issue is that it can’t get into the cells. When vitamin and nutrient deficiencies develop over time, the insulin receptors stop

Facebook listingPatients often ask if they should stop supplements before an intracellular CMA test, and the answer is no. The test measures nutrient status inside your cells over the last 90–100 days, so stopping vitamins right before won’t change the res
