PEMT is a generic SNP that is more and more prevelant. This gene causes the inability to make Phosphatidylcholine, or the better known as the cell membrane molecule. PC is especially important in the gut as the stomach and intestine lining needs constant replacing. PEMT makes this nearly impossible for some individuals. Check your genes!
