In a new study published in Neurology (linked below), researchers found that people who have higher omega-3 levels in their middle ages may have an edge over people who take in lower levels of omega-3.
Omega-3 is critical in heart health & cognitive function. Unfortunately, we are unable to make omega-3 ourselves - so we MUST supplement with it.
These are the baseline levels recommended for daily intake:
Men 1,600 mg
Women 1,100 mg
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding you should get anywhere from 1,300-1,400 mg
This is my current favorite omega supplement: https://www.designsforhealth.com/u/danpurser/products/xanthomega/
