A relatively inexpensive PCR LEVEL 2 oral bacterial fungal swab from my office would tell if you have these in about 9 days and the antibiotic sensitivities of each -- easy to treat. Test your spouse too.
The testing we use is incredibly accurate and finds everything. They have a gentic support library of over 50,000 bacteria, fungi, and yeast. It essentially uses the genetic remnants of recently dead oraganisms and it does not miss anything.
Results come back then pony up for a 15 minute visit and we resolve it -- none of this though, is covered by insurance (which is good because I don't accept it). 😀
Problem solved, risks reduced.
