EBV (Epstein Barr Virus) or the mononucleosis virus also shuts down the reduction of glutathione to GSH thus negating it.
Nasty trick. Seems like to learned it from other viruses.
I've seen a certain form/brand of glutathione (wonder which one that is?) used in my local Level 4 Hospital ICU to bring more than one patient out of death spiral coma caused by EBV (who knew it could do that kind of damage but it can -- it apparently can kill you).
Get this rotten virus and try taking a validated, reduced, absorbable, stable GSH -- and take a lot of it. Can really boost immune system.
